How to hit a draw golf shot

Here are some simple steps to hit a draw golf shot.

  1. Set up with the ball slightly further back in your stance than usual, and with your feet, hips, and shoulders aiming slightly to the right of your target (for a right-handed golfer).
  2. Aim the clubface slightly to the right of your target as well.

  3. During your backswing, try to keep the clubface square to the target line, while making sure that your clubhead is traveling on an inside-to-out swing path.
  4. As you start your downswing, focus on rotating your hands and forearms to close the clubface slightly, creating a right-to-left spin on the ball.
  5. Make sure to follow through with your swing and release the clubhead after impact to ensure maximum spin and direction control.
It's important to note that hitting a draw consistently requires practice and may not come naturally at first. It's also important to experiment with different ball positions, clubface angles, and swing paths to find what works best for your swing.
